I have wagered on millions of hands of twenty-one. I started sneaking into the gambling halls when I was 16. I have enjoyed online vingt-et-un, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a little while. Given all that I have still spent all kinds of cash at vingt-et-un. The gambling halls have made it basically impossible to defeat the house.

I still enjoy the game and wager on a frequent basis. Over this time period I have enjoyed a variation of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You will not get rich with this method or defeat the casino, however you will experience a lot of fun. This tactic is founded on the fact that blackjack appears to be a game of runs. When you are on fire your hot, and when you are not you’re NOT!

I play basic strategy blackjack. When I do not win I bet the table minimum on the next hand. If I do not win again I bet the table minimum on the next hand again etc. Whenever I profit I take the winnings paid to me and I wager the initial bet again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I succeed again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I continue betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I return the action back down to the original bet.

I am very disciplined and do not "chicken out". It gets very thrilling at times. If you win a few hands in series your wagers go up very quick. Before you know it you are wagering $100-200/ hand. I have had fantastic runs a couple of times now. I left a $5 table at the Palms a few years back with $750 after 35 mins using this technique! And a couple of months ago in Macau I left a table with $1200!

You must understand that you can give up a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be surprised at the runs you witness playing this way. Here is a chart of what you would bet if you kept winning at a five dollar table.

Bet $5
Take 5 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial $5 bet

Wager $5
Leave $5 paid to you for a total wager of 10 dollar

Bet 10 dollar
Take $10 paid-out to you, leave the original ten dollar bet

Wager 10 dollar
Leave 10 dollar paid to you for a total bet of 20 dollar

Wager $20
Take twenty dollar paid-out to you, leave the original $20 bet

Wager $20
Leave $20 paid to you for a total bet of forty dollar

Bet forty dollar
Take forty dollar paid to you, leave the original $40 wager

Bet $40
Leave 40 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of $80

Bet $80
Take eighty dollar paid to you, leave the initial eighty dollar bet

Bet $80
Leave 80 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of $160

Wager one hundred and sixty dollar
Take 160 dollar paid to you, leave the first $160 wager

If you departed at this instance you would be up $315 !!

It’s iffy to go on a run this long, but it will happen. And when it does you can’t alter and drop your wager or the final result will not be the same.
