I have played millions of hands of vingt-et-un. I started working my way into the casinos when I was 16. I have played online chemin de fer, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short time. With all that said I have still lost all kinds of cash at twenty-one. The gambling halls have made it very hard to defeat the game.

I still like the game and gamble on a regular basis. Over this time period I have bet on a variation of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You will not get flush with this method or beat the casino, still you will have a lot of fun. This method is based on the fact that chemin de fer appears to be a game of streaks. When you are hot your hot, and when you’re not you’re NOT!

I bet with basic strategy 21. When I do not win I wager the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand. If I lose again I bet the table minimum on the successive hand again etc. As soon as I hit I take the payout paid to me and I wager the initial bet again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I win again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I keep wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I return the bet back down to the original amount.

I am very strict and do not back out. It gets very exciting at times. If you win a few hands in sequence your bets go up very quickly. Before you realize it you are betting $100-200/ hand. I have had fantastic streaks a number of times now. I departed a $5 table at the Venetian a few years back with $750 after 45 mins using this method! And a number of weeks ago in Atlantic City I left a game with $1200!

You need to understand that you can squander a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be amazed at the streaks you witness playing this way. Here is a chart of what you would bet if you kept winning at a $5 table.

Bet five dollar
Take five dollar paid-out to you, leave the first 5 dollar wager

Bet $5
Leave $5 paid-out to you for a total wager of ten dollar

Wager 10 dollar
Take 10 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial $10 bet

Bet ten dollar
Leave $10 paid to you for a total bet of twenty dollar

Bet $20
Take 20 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first 20 dollar wager

Wager twenty dollar
Leave 20 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $40

Wager 40 dollar
Take forty dollar paid-out to you, leave the original $40 bet

Wager $40
Leave 40 dollar paid to you for a total bet of $80

Bet $80
Take 80 dollar paid to you, leave the first $80 wager

Wager 80 dollar
Leave $80 paid to you for a total wager of $160

Bet 160 dollar
Take 160 dollar paid to you, leave the original one hundred and 60 dollar bet

If you departed at this moment you would be up 3 hundred and fifteen dollars !!

It is iffy to go on a streak this long, but it will happen. And when it does you mustn’t deviate and lower your wager or the end result will not be the same.
